This series of 8 woodworkings was featured in an art show labeled "Spectrum" along with work from 3 other Artists at Winona State University in south eastern Minnesota. It was our intention to protray subject matter that is typically only viewed in one way, but also has unseen benefits on the other side of the spectrum as well. As being an artist that plans to pursue work related to the land we live on, I chose to divulge the situation of a disaster to that land and what hidden effects it has. The series features 8 successive wood burnings that upon finishing were thrown into a fire, retrieved, and enhanced by including natural materials and burned remnants of that fire. Burning, Stain, Acrylic Paint, Adhesives, Natural Found Materials, Polyurethane on Birch Plywood Solid Oak Frames
